Rima Water Treatment Plant, a PDO project developed by Rima Water Treatment Projects LLC, is designed to treat up to 60,000 m³/d of OPW sustainably, following all PDO regulations, with a focus on HSE. Located 8 km north-east of Rima within PDO concession area in Oman’s central desert, it was launched in early 2023 at a cost of $226 million. The facility uses advanced, eco-friendly methods to process water, creating a green oasis and setting a sustainable industrial water treatment standard in Oman. Urban Edge effectively managed the entire project, including compliance with HSE regulations and handling change, contracts, claims, and risk management to complete ahead of schedule without major issues.
